Shadow Hills is located in the southern portion of the community of Sunland and extreme northeast portion of Sun Valley, California east of Glenoaks Boulevard. The City of Los Angeles first annexed Sunland in June of 1926. To this day, Shadow Hills remains rural and largely undeveloped.ï¾  Most think it's because of its hills and rock-hard soil, which make it difficult to build, but we believe the real reason is because of the numerous sightings of a large, monstrous creature known to roam the hills.
