A spectator is handed a suede pouch, along with a neat brass tube with screw-on lid. The pouch is opened to reveal five brass rods, each with a different set of rings inscribed at one end. The spectator is asked to secretly remove one of the rods, note its number of rings, and seal it within the tube. When the pouch is closed, the magician is able to devine the selected rod within the tube!
